Anyone playing games that aren't MMORPG's?

I love how their website has completely captured the subtle sound of boot against snow. :p And yes, the actual game looks intriguing, too. It's about time adventure games made a comeback (although I still want Gabriel Knight IV).

My subscription to audible.com has innoculated me against road rage (having it, at least - I might just not notice causing it ). How many points if a gun is involved? Being in Texas, this is an essential question!

oooh, I played the demo to Indigo Prophecy a couple of times (different actions=different outcomes), and have considered purchasing it... twisted little game, and an interesting method of moving.

Other than that, MMO's continue to fascinate me - with the advent of Darkness Rising on DAoC, I've been playing with renewed zeal. I got to tinker with City of Villains at Riddler's house the other night, and have just barely made my saving throws vs it. And you know, with each roll of the dice, the odds of my continuing to make that saving throw grow less and less... <grin>

Speaking of saving throws... Saturday was National D&D Day, did you fondle your dice?

The Realm is still around? Wow.. I played it when it first game out.. then again years later.. but they made pretty much the whole game for high level people.. you'd go from little bitty rats to the next screen over with huge things jumping you. It was a sad rerelease of a good game.

"The Realm" was fun back in the day. I saw the CD downstairs in my basement a few days ago. My name was ManOfChocolate (all brown). Good times :p

After YS I ended up playing door games on various BBSes for awhile. (Am I dating myself?).

From there I ended up doing online QuakeWorld and the Realm. The Realm was a lot of fun, but levelling was really, really boring, and the servers tended to go down a lot, lag, and the patching process at the start of the game took FOREVER!

Right now most of my gaming time goes to the MUD I build for (Revenge of the Jedi, a Star Wars MUD) and PartyPoker.

If anyone wants to see some screenshots from the Realm (versions 2.0 and 3.x) visit http://www.barbersonline.net/realm

I was SirTagamet/LilSirTag on the Realm and generally hung out on Newbie or OOC. My Realm SirTag was a lv. 113 wizzie with very nice enchants. GM in everything magical except necro, also GM pickpocket, and master armor/weapons, if I recall. I was a PKiller, but an honest trader.

Wow, thanx for sharing the Realm screen shots. I almost forgot what the game even looked like. I played Realm for a short time after INN went down. Then again maybe 2 years ago in search for some old friends.
Speakin of old friends... The other day while going thru a box of junk, I found a plane ticket stub for when I visited some INN friends in 96ish. I have thier phone numbers written on it, wonder if the numbers are still good, have to give them a call :D

Anytime I meet MMORPG'ers from the younger generation (i.e. WOW players looking at naked night elves for hours), I'm gonna show em those Realm bikini pics and say "in my day, this is all we had to look at in a game" :p

I remember beta'ing Realm for a month or so. Fun game ...
