Yes, I do remember you. I didn't really learn the acronyms from Yserbius, having already been using chatrooms and BBS's for a few years prior to my stay at TSN/INN, but did I spend money on it? As I recall the last two months I was on INN, playing mostly Cawdor at that point, cost me over $600 a month, which was why I left INN.
And yes, I killed time a lot.

Playing during premium time, huh? Before 6 p.m.? Oh, how well I knew it. But there were always boards to be read, replies to be posted, people to enrage, enthrall, annoy, or bore (a player's game cannot be in peak form at ALL times).
The question that sometimes floats in my mind having now experienced the advent of cheap gaming. is "Did the expenditure of cold hard cash lead to a more quality experience, or am I just remembering it that way in order to justify it?" Well, I suppose one way to find out would be to donate a couple hundred bucks a month to this site. First I'll go with the traditional 14.95 though.
