When I first heard Steve Carrell was going to place Agent Maxwell Smart, I was all "Yeah!!! He'll make an awesome Max!" So I've been pretty excited to read more about the upcoming movie... Then, browsing the recent movie news I came across this article. And once agian, Hollywood has dashed my hopes.
Read the Artical, and if your any kind of Get Smart fan as I am, you'll right away see why I am suddenly fearful of this remake. Why can't Hollywood just make a GOOD movie, that KEEPS to the PROVEN formula??? Each sentence spewed by Segal, is like a punch in the gut.
Now, don't get me wrong, the movie may be great. I certainly had my fears with TMNT and was surprised on how well it was treated... But come on, lets face it movie remakes from old TV shows currently do NOT prove themselves worthy... (Prime examples of PURE Hollywood CRAP, Dukes of Hazard and Starsky and Hutch)
And while we're on the subject... I guess this means we won't be seeing a Ghost Rider 2 movie anytime soon... *sigh* Everyone wants their two cents.
