M'Lady, I emphatically deny these baseless rumours! I was not hiding to "just to take a nice peek at her rear" as you so eloquently put it. In fact I was not hiding at all ... and even if I was (which I wasn't) the rear was completely unprotected.

Besides, there is a subtle yet important difference between getting a "nice peak at her rear" and getting a "peak at her nice rear", to which I will attest ... are both true.

Besides, your chainmail skirt was quite shiny.

Trouble editing Dosbox/Client

Hail and well met!

I couldnt believe my eyes when I saw there was a revival.

I'm reading that everyone had no problems getting back into the volcano..but I cant seem to edit the two simple files without converting them into a useless text document. The best I did was be unable to connect. Is this the vile work of Arnakkian? Vista?

If anyone could help..I'd certainly appreciate it and look forward to adventuring again.

Been playing the solo version and got to 14 in a few hours. It's just not the same, you know?

Thanks!

I have downloaded and installed INN Revival, and am right now working on a Cleric once again! It feels good to be able to play with everyone again!

FoT too!

Me too! I'm playing FoT and I have a problem with Nigel's Walkthrough. The only walkthrough available it would seem.

In Celestial Boundry/Corpeus where there is a third tp to go through. Nigel has a sequence of numbers to be typed with Num Lock off. This moves the char. Something is off because tp is not available after seq. and a few additional steps, so game goes nowhere. I've been at for 2 days now. Simply this, it does not work.

Anyone here know corrected sequence? Thanks in advance...

InnRevival Rocks!!

Hello everyone. I played Yserbius so long ago, it is amazing it is up and running. Please tell everyone you know that this is up and running. I had no idea and just found this today!! It is 06/12/09!

I'm so excited. I've been playing Lord of the Rings online, but I think I will switch back and roll a wizard.

I just hope people are playing. I want to see it full like the good old days.

Tell everyone! :)

Ethan

P.S. My character is Doromo in the Vol.

To edit the CFG files, you have to double click on it... then select notebook, it will open up the file, then find the place to edit, and then go to file and click save. and you are done and ready to play. You also have to edit Dosbox as well.

I think it only works on XP but I don't know. I have XP and I used Notebook to edit the files.

Hope that works.

Is anyone still up and playing on INN Revival? I've logged in a few times and have not seen a soul.

I played TSN (version's 2.0 and 2.1) back in '92 and '93 under Guillarme and CALViN of HOBBeS... started a guild called Realms of Yserbius, and enjoyed hitting the weight... err pump room... on a regular basis.

Ales all around!

Hail! ~/ ~/ ..I've seen you've been posting on the INN Revival group. There is hardly ever anyone on when I log in randomly, but that's mostly well after Midnight Eastern times. Most of the time I see people posting on INN Revival group is when they think the server is down because "they" can't connect. :D It is nice to see the occasional post from people who just discovered the Revival and get all excited and others looking for old friends.

..I know post 47 before yours is way old, but dosbox and thus INN should work the same across Linux, Windows and Apple. I run it mostly in Linux with an occasional run on Windows 7 and both run it just fine. I actually had a character backup on floppy from all those years ago which I restored to the Inn/Yserbius install I'm running on the Inn Revival server.

I'm actually running Revival on OS X and XP, and it's worked fine. Haven't used VitF on the mac, but pumped up a char on XP just to see if I could still remember the commands.

Anyway, it's fun looking at something I played as a teenager and still enjoying it. Most MMO's are too complicated for my taste. I like clicking my direction arrows and having turn based attacks.

..Same here. I see people around the interwebs talking about it and how much they miss it, but there is never anyone on when I'm there. Although tonight when I logged on to play it said 12 people playing in 6 lands, but I looked every where and the Volcano to find no one.

Thor -

It's buggy and I posted about that in the Google INN Revival pages... apparently there's a known bug within Revival that's causing it to report more people. I played in the 'cano earlier today and saw an actual person was logged in but I couldn't find them. Of course my character is only level 8 right now, so I haven't been able to get too deep.

There are a few of us, and I think this new dev team could lead to more!

..I saw your post and aware of the bugs, but before now any time I've seen more than 5 clients in 6 lands was almost always indication of people actually playing. Some good news though I just read a post from Ben Young regarding INN password encryption just a few minutes ago on the ImagiNation Network Server Project group!

Yeah I saw Ben's posts too!

And in the past have found the same to be true of more than 5 users usually being indicative of live players.

Thor -

The weird number of people listed has been fixed, and now (based on what I've seen) anything more than 3 is indicative of live play... have seen a few people actually grinding around the 'cano regularly.

It's been fun.

Aloha Tiger!

How are you, and yours? Caesar and I are well, and living here in Hawaii. Hoping to get into the game soon, and hope to find some old friends still around. Have you yet connected with Valtemplar? He sent an email today to tell us he's in the game again. Stay in touch, please.

Love and hugs, Mom (Lady Kiri)

INN Revival is currently down, as for why, I do not know.

It's been on and off the last few days, I'm hoping it comes back up soon, I'm aiming for Level 40.

Its sad the INN Revival hasn't seemed to be working in the last 8+ months, but I saw very few other players when I was on. It was a fun trip down memory lane while it worked though.

i tried to get the guy who had it running, he never answered my emails. I was wanting to put it on my server so you guys could continue to use it at your leisure. if anyone runs into him let me know i would be happy to host it. Slo
