OK. I also played here for a bit. (OK so I jumped around a bit, so shoot me!) I feel a bit guilty about being the first to post here, but SOMEONE needed to! What we need here is the return of Digita. She'd draw folks back to this host !<EG>

Speaking for the Swamp, definitely my first home.

Names of regulars I can recall their main names, not their bloody alts, that would take years...Shaman, Lady China, Balor, Gwara, Indigo, Fext, Deja, Darkprince, KKLongshot, RedPhoenix, Orlea, Moonlyte, Heartless, Rakeesh, Alaric, Dred, GaryCooper...list goes on and on. The funny thing is that now I'm forgetting character names and remembering people (Zack, I'm so sorry, what was at least one of your bloody online names? I could probably find your phone number faster...)

I miss these guys. Some of us moved on to Avatar and then to Everquest, Camelot and Warcraft. It would be great to talk to my friends and just people that I had fun being enemies with because it was a blast to argue.

Gwara was a lovely lady who conducted my marriage ceremony and helped deliver my children. She was the sweetest of clerics.

My home in Ys was Brazen's old farmhouse near Giants, which she left for me to make my new home for my family when she set out to new realms.

I also want to thank Mr. X, who gave me this, which was his invention for me. He kept making improvements as time went by to fend off hazards of the tavern, and this was the final product. Glad to have somewhere to hang it again!

The CTFNSSNQNTRSMCH ™

The Cyren Tanning Fantastic Not So Silly No Questing Non-Tippy Fireproof Reinforced Stainguarded Mystical Comfy Hammock ™

I'll be hanging out, still a tavvie at heart.

You'll get no argument from me on that score. I held a few lengthy (HOURS long) conversations with her, and found her a thoroughly delightful person.
Coupla other folks from this host I have fond memories of:
Lena (Ephitet- "Of Rhys") and her family. They were alotta fun - great senses of humor.
Digita - Self explanatory.

Then there's KKLongshot - he was a pain in TheMercs butts, but I'll give him this: he made some pretty incredible macros for TSN...

KKLongShot

KKLongShot used to hang in Sword Swamp, and pretty much eventually became one of my kids too. I'll give him something, that guy was loyal. Once he was adopted I could do no wrong even though I did wrong all the time. He was good to his mom though. Once there was a posting where a guy named DarkPrince got sick of me and Shaman being all nice to each other on the boards and complaining about "lovey dovey crap" and BALOR posting I'm just one of many in the little black book and we all get this from KKLS:

"Shaddup DP. I'll gag you anyway, maybe lench you, hahah. Shaddup and leave Shaman alone, he's just a pimp and there's nothing we can do about it, plus he's my Dad. BALOR, what's wrong with a fatty book of #'s? Cyren, Mommy, :) Love ya :) Hey DP, this is a Lobey Dobey, got a PROB? Didn't think so."

....

Completely incomprehensible in posts, sorta the kind where you tilt your head and have to have a conversation about it.

"So lench is lynch, right?"
"Lobey Dobey?"
"Stepdad?"
"I told him he was no relation to you, but looks like he wants you to be his daddy."
"I'm a pimp?"
"Term of enderment?"
"Let's settle on backhanded compliment"

He was also described as someone you'd rather have "in your tent pissing out than outside pissing in." Yeah, the macro thing helped too. Despite verbal whatevers, it was easier for him to have his attention elsewhere :)

I remember Longshot as being loyal also, and doggedly sincere. He used to help me level my Dred character and score with the wenches. You know, since he was shorter than me and had that one wierd eye.

I remember a lot of other shenanigans, including the preponderous and apparently still popular use of ALL CAPS. Ah, DOS days, when the old wizardy guild still held sway. Now it's all gone wizzy-wig.

*peeks her head in and bonks Cyren for being soooo mean*

I was a latecomer to Yserbius, played for almost a year before heading over to Avatar and then EQ. Cyren and I were sworn enemies *grin*. Which of course was Snow's fault!! Somehow we got over it and she introduced my to my hubby, Moonlyte. Ahhh, the good times. I do miss those days.

Lady Orlea aka Surrender aka Lady Tracy

Thinking back now I don't think I played Orlea until Avatar. I guess my main characters were Lady D which both Cyren and Heartless read as
Layd *grumbles* and Surrender.

Forgive Us Our Trespasses

If I have trespassed, Goddess, I have trespassed upon this woman. She asked for it, O Goddess, her name was Surrender and I just thought that was asking for it.

Oh Goddess, Bless this Ho...I mean...Honorable woman who surely did not chase everything that looked like he might breathe with a bare chest.

Orlea, forgive me my trespasses. Forgive me for all those thingies we simply can't mention here on a reasonably family-safe board. They just never met our family...

Your father was your...well, that's...um...okay. Anyway, that's not usually good.

Your father and I threatened to kill any man who came near you...okay, that was fun. Orlea's gentlemen had to run the gauntlet. There is not much more uncomfortable than teleporting into your parents' room to introduce your new young man only to find...well...anyway, she learned to knock. SnowWolfe was still a whip-wielding maniac no matter what time of day. Even over tea and crumpets, there's only so much to be done with a half-orc warrior. Even with ginger scones on Sunday mornings, still wearing his Chain of Souls, Writ of Insanity, and a Silver Wedding Manacle and not much else, O Goddess. Then there was the Helm of Sarcasm. When that was worn in tandem with my Delusions of Grandeur, the room tended to clear. Mother's weapon was a Wicked Tongue Lashing. Not much sympathy when only faced with the pragmatic advice of:
Cyren: "Oh boy...oh well, now you know me a little TOO well, but...serves you right for setting recall here."
Orlea: "You guys know where to find me!"
SnowWolfe: "Yeah, in the adult section."
SnowWolfe grins at Cyren "You should have yelled for help, then at least she wouldn't think you were enjoying it."
Cyren: But...then she might have actually HELPED me!

Before that I must atone for dressing myself as a guy and then when you came onto me like a steamroller, making fun of your breasts. I'm sorry. Really. SOLID/STATE is sorry. He is. Really. Okay, he's still laughing his ass off.

Anyway...I tried to make amends. I did make male characters to show Orlea what doo doo heads her boyfriends were by treating her nicely in front of them and intimidating them until they frothed. Nothing like watching a tough guy totally lose his cool. It was fun, oh Goddess.

I told her all about "Buffy The Vampire Slayer." Orlea, were it not for me...you would not know of Spike. Hey, that's even right there. Nice!

I did introduce her to her husband, but that is because by some very twisted act of Providence, she ended up sorta...without one. I didn't mean it. I swear. He made me do it. *points* There were manacles. You know how I love manacles. And the whips and...

Your parents married not with rings, but with manacles, what future did you have in this cold, cold, world? Probably a pretty good one from what I saw.

But I digress.

Oh, Orlea, the times, the joys.

She is my dearest friend, the person who will listen to me rant for hours. Kinda like this.

The honorable family greeting unto our favoritest daughter..."BITE ME"
