YSUO (Yserbius Ultima Online) in Open Beta

Hail, and well met! I am a new arrival to these lands of yours. The one I know as Leah has spun many a tale of her travels and friends of Yserbius.

I too, was experiencing the same dastardly problem in getting the client to work, and this solution did the trick! Now, I've a new land, new people, and new skills to explore.

I come here as one lacking any experience with this game engine, the UI, or even the knowledge of any but one or two of the people I may see here. That suits me fine. For I love to explore... on many different levels.

Perhaps we shall run across each other in game sometime.

I just finished the updating prosess and dled the new gateway
had no probs at all with it

but to another point, Im a black smith on and for the life of me cant find any ore to mine and is there a plce to buy a pack horse

you can buy a packhorse at the stable in britain and you mine ore in the mountains east of britain,, download and use uo automap uoam.net it wil lhelp you with the world... Slohand

Dont download the latest client yet as it is not going to be very friendly with the YSUO Server. due to The server software is always a step behind UO expansions for right now please do not download the Mondains expansion or you may find yourself resinstalling. Slohand

Haven't had any issues with ML, personally. From what I've read, the ML client is the SE client with just a few things tweaked(like the new option to choose race)

I'm pretty sure the clients have all been backwards compatable. People were useing the ML client on RunUO the day ML beta came out and was put on fileplanet.

People had to use UORice to decrypt the ML client(and rename the ML folder to Ultima Online Samurai Empire) until UOGateway was updated though. (which happened fairly fast)

A buddy and I used to run a free shard, and the only problems we had between new expacks and older version of RunUO is that people with the new clients couldn't walk around in the new areas, and the new skills/spells did nothing.

Ok will experiment with it a bit this weekend and see what happens. maybe make a seperate Server and test it stand alone since we have a bit of traffic on the server of late.. thanks for the advice. Slo

You could probablly wait for the next RunUO update before updateing the server's UO install to ML. People with SE allready installed don't really need to upgrade yet as well, unless they want to be ready for the next RunUO update with ML. Was mainly posting the new client for people without SE installed, since it has everything for SE and will be ready for ML.


Looks like ML support should be added soon though:

The RunUO Team has finished UO:SE support.

We are working on a release, and working on UO:ML. UO:ML should be completed shortly.
