Calling all authors, writers, freelancers and researchers. Yserbius.org is looking to bring back the Monthly Newsletter. In order to bring it back however, we need someone out there willing to spend a few hours a month helping the editor write stories, gather information, research upcoming games and or Yserbius.org news, as well as possible YSUO collaborations with local YSUO gurus.

We’re looking for one or two, driven, creative individuals who enjoy writing, has a good understanding of both YSUO (Not required) and or MMORPG’s in general (Also not required). We’re looking for help writing anywhere from 400-600 words for a designated column which would be totally theirs to write and create. Must be open to idea’s and suggestions. Must also be good with communicating with Admins and Moderators. The two chosen individuals will be given a special title within Ys.org Community.

6. Lack of Serial Support
I have a couple of Wacom digitizing tablets. One, a USB-based Intuos, I usually keep at home, and another, an oldie-but-goodie serial-port–based Digitizer II, I usually use in the office.
I've used the Digitizer II with every Windows OS since Windows 95. Now, though the tablet is in perfect working order, Wacom isn't supplying Vista drivers. And Vista doesn't notice that the tablet's there.
Are there other serial-based peripherals being put out to pasture by Vista and third-party peripheral manufacturers? Tell me about them in the forums.


7. Driver Prep
This operating system has been under development for half a decade, yet some companies still aren't ready for its release.
ATI, for instance, has been providing pretty up-to-date and stable graphics drivers for all of its cards, including the Radeon X700 I have in my HP desktop.
Unfortunately, it's left out one very important piece: open GL support.
No, it's not something everyone would notice, but "Second Life" fanatics could be in for a rude awakening if ATI doesn't get its act together.
I assume a Catalyst update will be ready right around launch, but still, what the heck took them so long?
Again, let's start collecting a list in the forums of components and peripherals without adequate Vista driver support.

Ber, could you or Viddy, go through the accounts list, you can tell who the lookers are by the length of there account, they will be like account created on such and such a date and last log in like 2 minutes after they created the account. if you could go through and delete some of those this would help with system performance a little. I will be doing some server maintenance when i get back from Houston next Sunday will give everyone a heads up before i reboot it. should take only a few minutes for the whole process.. Slo

If we're "cleaning" up YSUO... I stubbled across a couple of my friends houses that can be deleted... Gabriel The Blue and the house next to it. I don't expect either back.

there used to be a addon for UO that was meant for clean up of Britania,

Members would dump their un needed items into a trash container and were then awarded points which could turned in for items, from dye tubs to mounts or whatever. Not sure if this addon is still around or not.

but yes any houses of unused accounts need to go bye bye.

Hav Knot will not leave me alone until I ask ya's... can he hav the items in abandoned homes?... he said he'll make room in his cardboard box for'em.

BTW, I'm moving Hav's house to Ilshenar soon... if ya cats want that choice corner lot in Luna for something let me know... so I can demo the place when one of ya's are around. I may need a lil GM help placing the new foundation and maybe some "blessings" (AKA: GM gifts) =P

Vidar and I cleaned up and deleted some accounts. Vidar did most of it, I only got about 30 of them, he got many more.

I made some tokens and a token box. You put in junk, armor, anything at all and get tokens, it deletes the item. There is a vendor stone that can be set to take these tokens for items. I also have a claim command that I re-worked to give tokens instead of gold. You [claim your kill and get 10 tokens for each corpse you "claim". Will help keep things cleaner. I'll announce it when I get it uploaded but make sure you loot the corpse before you use the claim command, all it does is delete the corpse and give 10 tokens. The items on the token vendor stone will need to be rather high priced since toeksn will be really easy to get. The token box can be carried or set in the rune library either way.

Regarding the houses, let me know where they are and I'm sure we can work out something to do with the items

I'm getting a Syntex Error on Line 2, Char 1 on all pages except admin screen. Logging out and clearing info didn't fix anything. Can you drop me an email dude, I'd like to give ya a holler this weekend if I can and would like to know a good time to call ya.

Spammers getting out of hand, I disabled all registrations and changed message to give instructions for those truly interested in joining the board. Will watch and see if spam attempts decrease for a while then decide what to do. Slo

What happened to the ads? And Slo, I looked around for any reason why I wouldn't be getting email notifications and don't see why I'm not. My settings haven't changed, yet I recieve no emails from YS.org... I checked my email folder and it's not full nore is it blocking it.
