Random disconnects while in a fight

Not real fun to get disconnected during a fight. It doesn't happen often, but it's almost always a big fight where I'm about to get big experience points.

I had mentioned the culprit in this post on the in-game forums:

I put in some protective code, but it is still happening. More work to do.
