EU guild Curse has downed Al'ar on live, advancing the Black Temple attunement quest one step further.
So far the questline begins with completing the quest "The Ata'mal Terrace". From there you speak to a NPC behind Fathom Lord Karathress in Serpentshrine Cavern, who sends you to speak with Akama in Shadowmoon Valley. Akama gives you a disguise, which turns you into a member of the Ashtongue tribe sworn to Illidan and then tasks you with defeating Al'ar while disguised.
Upon killing A'lar Curse discovered that the next step requires the death of Rage Winterchill, the first boss in the Hyjal event, attunement to which requires a drop off both Lady Vashj and the yet-to-be killed Kael'thas Sunstrider. This also confirms that The Black Temple is officially the highest level raid dungeon in the game so far.
