Ok,

as a test run to make sure dotproject was still a viable and stable source for tracking our progress, I tested it and installed in on GD servers... If it'll run here with all the checks, safe modes and crap they have on a server, it'll run anywhere.... LOL

yorkshiredogs.com/dev

login: admin
pass: passwd

So you can see what'll look like.. It's changed abit since we last used it, but still looks easy and manageable...

I setup yorkshiredogs.com in the same mannor as imagine1.com will be, simple front end redirecting to ys.org, denying that imagin1.com exsists, that sorta thing... We're just using it to store data and our contrabutions, so no front end is needed.

there are skinning tutorials for MS i will find a good one for you, under the materials tab is where all the work is done once you make your groups ,, group vertices into objects and name them then go to materials pick your group and skin it with a texture , i will find a tut for ya

Yeh, I do that... Groups that is... Makes welding them and such together easier... I have 10 swords done, each one a little more ellaberiate then the last one... I'm working on the ones I had before, atleast I had screen shots of those models so I can get design idea's... Good thing I like designing swords... Practical ones... That is... LOL

I've messed around with the meterials tab a few times, but that doesn't really give you the ability to "Skin" the item, just give it a meterial color... I mean, how do you get ther Verticies into PSP, do some kick ass coloring... I remember how to add the meterial once it's been colored but I never could figure out how to skin it...

Yeh, thats it! I'm assuming you want something abit more colorful then just the mat colors Milkshape gives the items right? Practicality can be pretty... lol

Ok, Imagin1.com is now up and running... To get to the tracker, go to http://www.imagin1.com/dev

Login using the login information you got... If you didn't get it, then ask me about it... Y gotta convince me why you want access, and what you can contribute to the project, in order to gain access....

Slo, you should have access to it no problems... If not, then lemme know. I'll be adding tasks and such throughout tomorrow.... About 15 or so swords have been created and are currently awaiting skinning... Should be able to knock out a few tomorrow... Slo, I'll do the WHOD like ya asked and skin it first thing.

Well, I shall attempt to gain access without a password...muhahaha. well maybe not. I could add a task or two for someone to do. lol Things are looking good guys! Not sure how I can help. :)

In case some one wants my msn is jason99@q.com. I will probably use it more than ICQ.

well when this gets a little further along you can buy a copy of RC and do some testing for us and maybe try a little level design yourself. no sense in buying it now. we need to get a little further along. i bet with your scripting ability in UO you would be good at writing quest scripts once we got you pointed in right direction. I'll give anything a shot once! lol I made things work with UO and gained a basic understanding of C# but I still don't think I could build from scratch but I'd give it a go. niters

Ok guys... Here's what I have for the WHOD (War Hammer of Doom) Version 1.0.... LOL

Warhammers are traditionally one handed, and or Polearms. Mauls and larger hammers are usually two handed, so technically this was modeled after a WarHammer, not a maul.

Slohand,

The file (ms3d) skinned and everything, is located in the Project tracker. If you have any problems with it, lemme know... I was thinkin maybe some kinda partical effect on the weapon? Not sure if thats possible.... Skinning was diffrent... I think we're going to to need invest in a better UV SKinner though, this UVMapper I used... Which I had used previously, is pretty limited... (All this skinning and UV mapping is coming back to me now!)

I'm still waiting on support to reset my Liscense, or I'd test it myself... I've sent them two emails, two diffrent ways and still haven't heard from them... Yes, I'm not very patient... Hehehe...

Anyway, whats your thoughts on the WHOD? Changes? Idea's? Additions? Color changes maybe?

Yeh, thats UVMapper Classic.... Unless It's me, it seems to screw up the UV Mapping somewhere between doing that and importing the OBJ File back into Milkshape. I had this same problem last year when I was testing the Skinning abilities... I had to "Remap" everything in Milkshape. But doing that, causes inconsistencies and has ALOT of limitations on customization of the BMP, meaning that you can't add little things like a stone in ONE place, minor little things and such...

Yeh, http://www.unwrap3d.com/ is the one I mentioned last year... I think that post is still here somewhere... It's 60$ though. I can't get it right this moment, and the demo is limited... I don't think you can save? Or something... Did you get the full version??
