I wish that I could say I was rebuilding Yserbius like some others have but the truth is I am in no form or fashion skilled enough to do that. I do however and the reason I placed this thread like to Create Graphics and 3D Animation. Pretty much the same stuff you see in all the latest Games these days. I personally find it relaxing to create things.
a evening might be spent creating banners or site logos for websites. or I may be spend it, using advanced programs and create stuff with polygons. while not a pro at this I still have fun with it.
Here is a list of the Programs I Own and use Depending on what I need
Adobe Photoshop CS2
Adobe Image Ready CS2
Adobe Illustrator 9.0
Lightwave 7.0 (have the newest version but havent installed it yet)
Bryce 5.0
3ds Max
Worldbuilder
Maya 6.
Poser 4,5,6
Cinema 4d
Rhino
Wings 3d
POV Ray
TrueSpace
I have others that I use less frequently so I do not list them here. So of these I am more adept at using than others. Some of you may recognize some of these programs instantly as tools used to render 99 percent of all Hollywood Graphics ( Interesting Note... In the movie Alexander the Great Every other person in the long march scenes was composed in Poser and animated in Lightwave. That should shed light on the possibility)
Several of the High end Online MMORPG's has been Programmed using some of these tools to generate and animate the polygons.
So I was thinking if there are those who may be interested I would post some simple Tutorials here online. from something as simple as making banners and logos to more complex 3d modeling. With Each Tutorial I will locate free or demo programs for folks to use on the internet in case you do have them. So of the smaller programs like PhotoShop folks may already have and do not realize that is one of the most powerful tools available to Artist and Animators these days..
So if anyone is intersted in Learning more of this. Be sure and let me know and I will Start a Tutorial. I can also offer tutorials on Working with PHP and integrating your own code into scripts such as PHP-Nuke or Post Nuke in order to create your own personalize website which is fully independant like yserbius.org
Thanks all for the interest you have shown thus far. Slohand
