Not sure what is going on here. I havent touched any settings on the forums in a very long time. this may take a while to sort out and maybe even a reinstall of the forum,, will keep digging into it.

Well, since you re-added the ads, my error went away... So whatever was causing that is fixed... Hehehe... I have't touched any settings other then removing spammers.

I sure like the peace and quiet here with no spammers being able to get in. I think we will leave it as is for a few months and hopefully we get removed from some of the **** list out there. meanwhile i edited the message to inform the truly interested what to do in case they really want a membership.

most everything here is open to the public anyhow.

ysdev isnt sending out emails it received from yserbius.org for what ever reasons. I can send emails to ysdev from my cianbro.com email and it distributes them. also i can send emails to anywhere else but the ysdev list from the yserbius.org server. so at this point the only thing i can sugest is create a new mailing list elswhere and try it. i can find no error in any diagnostic that tells me why yserbius.org will not send to only one mail service


The control panel that backs up yserbius.org has a mail list feature i will look into it this weekend.

all i can do, the company i host from wont look at it, they want 125 bucks a hour to support it, so instead of ytring to fix it, i will make a address that it will send to.

Ok... But you do know that it's not just the ysdev@tigereyegfx.net email I'm mentioning right? It's any of the post reply nofitications or "subcribtion" notificaions that I don't get.

Navic and Sidd had mentioned it too, though I don't know if they were refering to the ysdev or the general notifications. We all recieved emails you had sent to ysdev@tigereyegfx.net, so I don't think it's that... And I don't see how vBulletin would be the cause, since nothing's changed that I can see... Unless it's a system file that somehow got jacked up...

Well again i am not sure what to say. i post with the email address to ysdev.or perhaps i should say tigereyegfx.net if this is common to all the instances you speak of. tell you what change it to a hotmail or yahoo address and see if you get notified then and we can tell that way.

either or, if i change it the email to navics email he gets it, or hazes email he gets it, but either ysdev or tigergxf.net not sure which does not go.

so i am going to try your work email and then perhaps my work email and see if works

Post notification worked? Hmmmm... Well, that doesn't bode well then.... I don't have any other kind of email, suppose I could run make one... Try my work email though first... I wonder though, whats blocking it? I can't be the only one this is effecting... Hehehehe...

Yeh, I got 3 diffrent emails... So, yeh, I'd say that worked... Hehehe... 2 to ysdev, and one to tiger-san... one was the Admin new post email, and the other was a subscription notification. So that worked it seems... Awsome...

So, what, my IP was being blocked by the hosting? or...?

Nope, it seems that there is a website called uzdesign.com that sent out a bunch of spam and falsified the IP address well guess whos IP address got used?

This new dedicated server has 5 IP's assigned to it. one of those IP which just happened to be the one our mail server uses got put on a spam blacklist. Well sort of, SORBS a Spam database which just happens to be one database that GODADDY uses has a nasty little habit of listing a wide range of IP's and they listed the range that contained our IP in it, Then they held hostage those IP's wanting 50 dollars per IP to release them from the list. which so my host told me would amount to alittle over 25,000 dollars. and they were not going to be blackmailed by SORBS so they reissued me a new IP out of that range and assigned a new IP to our mail server which is not on a list anywhere.

So this explains why we could email everywhere in the world but to one server.

sorry for the inconveniance and everything should be back in order now. took me a week to figure it out but i did it lol ...

Holy sh*t, thats wacked out... So they wanted YOU to pay for releasing THEIR IP from a THIRD party because some A$$HOLE spammed on a spoofed IP? Thats friggen sick...

I tried the TOS for YSUO again. Still no luck, it says there was an error processing application and to email tos@yserbius.org. The server is not sending the email info on to tos@yserbius.org. I can put it it, have it generate the error, then wait for them to email the tos email addy and respond that way to them. The info is still stored. At least until we figure out the automatic email and why it's not working. I have no thoughts unless it is blocking the server from sending anything out...

Slo do you have a log in or something for that tos@yserbisu.org mail? It probably doesn't have much at all sent to it but I would check it if you wish.

i ahve the mail server thing figured out Sidd i just need to fix it,, these are two diferent servers i will have to fix the problem with the YSUO server now when i get on this weekend.
